What is a metalsmith?
A metalsmith is similar to a goldsmith except the difference is that a metalsmith may work in any metal and may also create useful or decorative objects that are not classified as fine jewelry.
In Italian language you would say, “artigiano/a”.
As an American metalsmith living in Italy, I’ve collected a lot of information that is useful for anyone in the jewelry industry considering a move to Italy. Also, as an English language teacher in Italy, I have helped many students learn technical lingo for this industry. Blending this knowledge together I’m building a course to teach it to goldsmiths, metalsmiths, and workers in the jewelry industry no matter what your native language is.
How can I learn it?
To learn anything it simply takes time, practice, and a willingness to apply yourself studying with the right resources. Language learning can take years for some and honestly you never stop learning any language, even your own native tongue.
