Stephanie is an American artist and artigiana based in Southern Italy who enjoys exploring beyond her formal background in metal and jewelry design. Influenced by architectural design, historic decorative periods, a life by the sea, spending time in nature, and a lifelong immersion in arts and crafts, she thrives on connecting unrelated disciplines and blending traditions to create new works.
After a deliberate lifestyle shift from America to Italy and reshaping her career by becoming an English language professor, Stephanie has found a balance to making art, creating jewelry, and participating in artistic collaborations during summer breaks. Her current studio work is developing a unique style with a focused return to consistent production taking inspiration from ancient art forms and blending it with modern practices.
Recent works have expanded to participating in site-specific land art projects and large-scale residential murals. Eager to collaborate and work with other creatives outside of her home studio, Stephanie has always found inspiration from traveling and is actively pursuing short-term artist residency opportunities.
